Sprayfoam insulation is made of polyurethane foam. The liquid polyurethane is pumped through pressurized spray nozzles – as it lands on the surface of your attic or side walls, it expands to form a continuous insulating barrier. Foam insulation offers better overall thermal performance at nerarly the same cost as other products. Since conventional insulation materials can settle, they cannot seal from stud to stud, around outlets, or on horizontal surfaces. In addition, conventional insulation can lose its insulation value of water or moisture invade the wall cavity. If flooding occurs, the SPF insulation is usually not affected. Advanced Climate Seal uses BioBased Sprayfoam Insulation. Biobased manufacturers building products that allow residential, industrial, and commercial structures to be more sustainable. BioBased®Insulation seals a structure's thermal envelope, making it is more energy efficient, healthier, more durable and comfortable than traditionally insulated buildings and homes. Our insulation is soy-based and water-blown, making it much more environmentally responsible.
